Hereford Parliamentary candidate Lucy Hurds was joined by fellow Liberal Democrats Roger Williams MP and Kirsty Williams AM (Brecon and Radnor) to visit Hereford County Hospital.
In a meeting with Derek Smith, interim Chief Executive, they discussed the importance of Hereford Hospital to patients coming from mid Wales and how, in turn, that could help secure future services at the hospital. He was also able to confirm that additional consultants are being recruited and that new services will be starting later this year.
“It is really important to the future of our hospital, that services are maintained and increased” said Lucy Hurds. “If patients from mid Wales opt to use Hereford Hospital, funding and staffing levels will be protected which improves the service for us all”.
